STANDING OUT
We are aiming outstanding researches for making people happy by using state-of-art technologies.
We are working on our “Design of Design” project supported by Japan Science and Technology Agency. In this project we have been making advanced tools for designs and designers. We believe that these experience of making such tools give us some good idea how people design and why people design.
We are also making progress in our “Digital Heritage” project. The goal of the Digital Heritage project is to develop modeling methods of complete information of cultural properties, including three-dimensional shapes, textures, materials, and everything.
FITTING IN
Science is not completely science when it is made by scientists only. We have been collaborating with professional artists, designers, engineers from other fields in the Design of Design project. We also spend days in archaeological sites with professional archaeologists, Egyptologists, excavators, photographers, and so on, for one purpose: knowing what and how we have been living.
