Dr. Ichi Kanaya (born 6 January 1973 in Tokyo, Japan) is a director of PineappleDesign.org and an associate professor of Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University, Japan. He is majored in computer science and its application to media design. He is also interested in applying computer technologies to survey, restoration, and conservation of cultural properties including Pyramids in Egypt.
Ichi Kanaya is currently working with Prof. Dr. Kazuo Kawasaki, a world-class product designer, for developing future computer aided design system. He is also collaborating with Dr. Mark Lehner, a director of Ancient Egypt Research Associates, for digital restoration and preservation of Pyramids in Egypt.
Ichi Kanaya received his Ph.D. in Engineering from Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST) in 1999.
